Dr Emily Pathe, a Counselling Psychologist with The Keil Centre, will soon be presenting a couple of Webinars on self-care through self-compassion. This is available to a limited number of people via Microsoft Teams video meeting.
We are all aware that self-care is important for our wellbeing. However, the task of prioritising self-care may seem almost impossible at times due to the demands of everyday life.
Self-care may be viewed as a luxury; another expectation, or yet another activity to complete on a never-ending ‘to-do’ list.
Based on the principles of Compassion Focused Therapy, this webinar is designed to support individuals an approach to self-care which is sustainable and based on self-compassion. This involves challenging unrealistic standards and relating to ourselves in a way which is conducive to our wellbeing.
Key learning outcomes include:
- Understanding self-care as an attitude, rather than a list of activities.
- Examining how self-criticism can impact upon our wellbeing.
- Practicing alternatives to self-criticism, such as compassionate self-correction.
- Developing tools to become more self-compassionate.
The Webinars will be held on Monday 17 May from 17:30 - 19:00 and on Saturday 22 May from 10:30 – 12:00, at a cost of £25.00 per person, payable at time of booking.
We anticipate places will be in demand so if you are interested in reserving a place in the Webinar, please reply to firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone her on 0131 229 6144.
Please be able to provide us with an email address that you are willing to share for the purpose of this webinar.
