The Keil Centre has been involved in a number of projects to provide best practice guidance to several industry sectors in the UK and Europe on the measurement of safety culture and how to use the results of safety culture assessments. These have included:

  • Guidance of the assessment of safety culture as part of the Step Change in Safety initiative in the petrochemical industry. To download the Changing Minds guide click here;
  • Selection by the European Process Safety Centre as a key safety culture contractor in the 3-year EU-funded PRISM project, which delivered pan-European guidance to the process industries on human factors best practice. Click here and register to access this guidance, listed under FG1 guides
  • Review of use of the UK Health and Safety Executive's Safety Climate Survey Tool
  • Being commissioned by the UK Health and Safety Executive to deliver a range of research reports for industry on behavioural safety, and how behavioural safety can be used to strengthen an organisation's safety culture - click here
  • Research and guidance for the UK rail industry on safety culture assessment techniques - click here

When combined with our considerable industry experience, the knowledge gained via these projects means our safety culture advice and consulting is sound, practical and evidence-based.
