Graduating in 1994 from the University of Liverpool with a Psychology (BA Hons) degree, Chris subsequently gained his Psychology and Health MSc from the University of Stirling in 1997. He completed his Clinical Psychology doctorate in 2003 at the University of Edinburgh.
Chris is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist. Prior to joining the Keil Centre in 2008, Chris trained and worked within the NHS. Chris has experience in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of psychological problems. He is qualified to work with individuals, couples and families, and with problems seen across a wide age range (young children to older adults).
Since qualifying Chris has worked both with adults experiencing mental health difficulties and with children affected by trauma. In addition he has worked with individuals and couples experiencing sexual problems. Chris draws on various models of psychotherapy in order to tailor treatment to individual needs. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic therapy.
